i found it interesting that he is able to trace so many people by using the y chromosone.

I recall, about 18 or 19 years ago, a breakthrough discovery that we are all descended from one woman. This discovery was made using mitochondrial DNA, which is only passed by the female.
Then, it disappeared. I have no idea if that's because the study was later discredited as a creationist version of the "Piltdown Man" or if it was simply shoddy science. Now they have discovered "Adam." I wpould take this "doscovery" with not just a grain of salt, but with a fifty pound bag of salt.

apparently, to make the immigrants feel more welcome in this country, a survey was conducted on all 'established' immigrants, asking them should we change our currency....... ....... 99% of immigrants whom expressed a preference, said they like the giro just the way it is!.

Nothing mighty about the dollar. When I moved to California from Michigan 19 years ago, it took approximately 375 American dollars to equal one million pesos. In other words, I could have been a "Mexican millionaire" for 375 dollars. Now, it takes many thousands of dollars to be a Mexican millionaire. Soon, the dollar won't be worth the effort to wipe your arse with it.

Christianity BEFORE Christ?

okay, was there really nothing resembling christianity before christ established christianity and the ideas behind that?

i mean, a lot of what the principles of christianity contain seem to be very common sense, such as loving neighbor, not stealing, don't covet neighbor's wife, etc.

do you really think the concept of christianity was so ground breaking when it did occur?

That's great! I'll read the various responses and see what's been recommended. I'm always keen on expanding my personal library.

I think it's great that you asked this question. The more responses the better. There seems to be many fundamentalists posting here, and this sort of thing is excellent for them to read. If they will read it. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to read anything, but especialy hard with fundamentalists, since they're afraid the facts will smash their fragile fanatsy system. Which, of course, facts will.

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but it's a paradise here en la Mojave desert.
